The Stone House in Lakewood is a beautiful, easy-to-access location for family photos year-round — especially it is great for taking pictures in the spring, summer, and fall. With its tall trees, grassy meadows, rustic stone architecture, and nearby water features, it offers a variety of natural backdrops perfect for golden hour sessions or soft afternoon light.

This particular session took place in the middle of summer. Since it was a hot day and the kids usually wind down by sunset, we met earlier in the afternoon to catch the best light while still working with their moods and energy. Thankfully, the spot is very family-friendly — ideal for little ones and even grandparents — and we didn’t need to wander far from the parking lot to find great photo spots.
